Who I am

An enthusiastic storyteller, karate blackbelt, military brat and big ol’ nerd. At heart, I am an aspiring superhero, just trying to save the world one story at a time. I am also a believer in using the stories we tell to forge connections, build community and better the lives of others.

I have worked as a journalist for more than eight years—along with other positions in news media, radio, podcasting, advertising and PR.

My newsroom journey started on the assignment desk, then to writing and producing, contributing regularly to digital news platforms and then, most recently, to news management. I am currently the managing editor for Salt Lake magazine.

I can now call myself a published comics writer as well, with my first comic short appearing in Bi Visibility: A Bisexual Anthology, with another to come in the anthology The Color of Always.
